People nowadays are too conscious of their looks that they are willing to do anything to improve them even if they look fine, so cosmetic surgery became the trend nowadays. A lot of celebrities go to cosmetic surgeons like Dr. Vicky Belo, Dr. Calayan, and the like. Some of them are Ethel Booba, wherein she had her breasts done, and had her tummy liposuctioned, and she requested that the fats from her tummy be put into her cheeks. After her operation, she really looked like a dog, all blue and swollen. Have you heard of the show “Born Diva”? It is a singing contest wherein if you pass the auditions, they would do a number of surgeries, be it nose lift, breast augmentation, liposuction, or even butt implants. It is patterned with “The Swan”, an international beauty contest wherein contestants also undergo several surgeries. I strongly believe that these shows are degrading and have a lot of psychological effects towards people. A lot of people with talents will have low self-esteem because they will think that they are not beautiful enough to join such contests. Remember that it is not the physical appearance that matters, it’s the inner beauty.
