I don't know why I tend to be so lazy and not go to school early on Fridays. Anyways, today, in our 1st class, there were some speakers. Jana, from the SPS, whom we thought was an irregular student. Haha! Then Annie from ROTC, and Reema and Melo from the Student Council.
I was surprised because after Annie talked about how fun ROTC is, and what the ROTC can offer, a lot of my blockmates were going to shift to ROTC from CWTS. But, I’m still not changing my decision of taking up CWTS even if it means sacrifice. Why? Because I want to help other people, I want to understand them.
I almost forgot. I had a little chat with the pedicab driver when I was going to the station. I learned that he was studying in University of the East before, but he had to stop studying because they had no money. He was taking up Chemical Engineering at that time and he was in his 3rd year when he stopped attending college. Sayang talaga. That’s why we MUST value our education and make the most out of it. Not everybody will be given a chance to study in good schools, primarily because not every parent can provide their children good education.

Well, today is a Saturday so it is a lazy day for me. Saturday is the time for me to actually do nothing, which I love to do. I wanted to wake up late in the afternoon, but instead, I woke up at 7 A.M. I guess my body clock is used to the time I wake up during weekdays. Bummer.
I can’t wait for my Mom to get home tomorrow. I really miss her.
June 5, 2005
I was not supposed to sleep today because my Mom would be arriving at 6 A.M., but instead, I fell asleep and woke up at about 5:45 A.M. I just brushed my teeth and of course changed my clothes, then off we go to the airport.
When I saw my Mom, I was like “Whoa ang taba mo!” But of course, I was just kidding. After that, we were supposed to eat at Gloria Maris, but it was still closed so we ended up eating in Aristocrat.
After eating, we went to Duty Free to buy some stuff, but there was nothing to buy so we went home. My Mom unpacked and everything. And boy did she fool me! She told me that she bought me an iPOD shuffle, but truth is she bought me what I want. I also got lots of pasalubong from other aunts. I got a bag, perfume, GAP jacket, slippers, food, shirts, etc.
Then we went to our grandparents’ house because my two brothers were there for the weekend, and my Mom missed them so much. We just lazed around and slept. Eat pizza, watched T.V., well, nothing. That’s what we do every Sunday.
Tomorrow’s my Mom’s birthday! I still have no gift for my Mom.

Today is my Mom’s birthday; she is already 39 this year. If only you could see my Mom, you wouldn’t believe that she already has 4 kids. I was fetched by my Mom early in school so that I would go home earlier. She told me that I had to pay 35 pesos for the fare. Haha!
We ate at Peking Garden in Glorietta, and to tell you the truth, they have the best peking duck in town! I was supposed to go to the Apple Store, but it was too far away so I decided to buy a protector for my iPod next time.

Today is my biological Dad’s birthday. I woke up early to study for INSTUDI, but I ended up just reading the photocopied papers and not really understanding it. I greeted my Dad through a text message. I told him, “Morning! Ü Happy Birthday! Ü” but he did not send a reply. I wonder if he received my message.
We had a test on ALGE101 today. It wasn’t that hard like what we use to take in our high school, but I did not know how to answer all of them. I just hope I pass the test. The results will be given to us on Thursday. I’m kind of nervous because one quiz would be equivalent to 17.5% of our final grade. And if ever I fail that quiz, it would greatly affect my grades.
I didn’t notice the time. I went home at about a quarter before 7 P.M. Well, my Mom was already looking for me. Haha!

Today is again, a Wednesday. And of course Wednesdays equals P.E. We had a practical test on Waltz today. Our teacher let us review for I think about 45 minutes, then we performed as a group, which is also a practice. I had a lot—and I do mean a lot—of errors. My partner was Hansil, and I really believe that if your partner does not know how to dance, your performance will also be affected. Well, both of us didn’t know how to dance.
When it was time to perform, I really thought that I would get a flat 0.0 in our performance but I was surprised that I got a 2.5, which is 3-4 errors. I was really happy to have that grade when you cannot even trace a dance gene in my DNAs. I can dance, but I cannot follow the sequence and timing of the steps.
I sometimes wish for a better voice, and a body that is good in dancing. But unfortunately, I don’t’ have both. They always say that your voice will improve if you practice regularly. I do practice everyday, but my voice didn’t change. I love to sing, but when I sing, the glasses shatter. Haha! I’m just exaggerating.

I was again fetched by my Mom from school. We were supposed to do our smile therapy today but it was again postponed to next Wednesday. We ate at a Chinese restaurant near our grandparents’ house, then we ate dessert at Cibo in ABS-CBN. I saw some celebrities, well actually only two, Archie Alemania from Wazzup Wazzup, and Jhong Hilario, the one from the Street Boys.
I brought my iPod for my listening pleasures, but guess who used it? My grandfather and my mother. Gusto nga nilang arborin. I told them to buy me a new one in case they want my iPod. Haha!

Today is once again, a Friday. Janie and I were supposed to watch the French films we need to watch for ANTHROP.
That really pissed me off. Imagine, nagpakahirap kaming mag LRT at pumila sa MRT tapos pauuwiin lang ako? Besides, nakakahiya kay Janie. So I have to watch the movies with my Mom on Monday nalang kasi wala namang pasok. Badtrip, pare.

I did nothing today. Studied ANTHROP from 10AM up to I-don’t-know-what time, and still, I am not finished. When I really can’t focus in studying, I read Alamat ng Gubat by Bob Ong. I read it for like less than 30 minutes. It was really funny. Imagine, a crab with a Nokia 3210 cellphone, uses Friendster, etc., going on a quest for finding a puso ng saging for his father? Haha! You should read this!

As what I did yesterday, I again studied. Blah blah blah. I also tried to read Dr. Buendia’s, our POLIGOV professor, article on the Philippines. I did not understand a thing.
After taking a bath, I picked up the CPU from Pc Express because the video card driver is well, I don’t know. Good thing it is okay now. Kung hindi, maloloka ako. As usual, we went to our grandparents’ house for Sunday dinner. I asked help from my relatives, I told them to read the article of Dr. Buendia, and explain it to me. But nobody even bothered reading and helping me with the commentary paper. So I had to understand it myself. The article is quite hard to understand because most of the sentences were compound, and it was full of ideas. So I had to read it over and over again, and still not understand it.
I am still not finished with my ANTRHOP studying. I do hope I finish it in time.
June 13, 2005
Thank God today is a holiday, or else I would really go crazy. I still haven’t finish studying ANTHROP. I was supposed to watch 2 French films today, but I wasn’t able to go because my Mom had other plans and no one will accompany me to watch. So what I did today was again, tried reading Dr. Buendia’s article, but I did not, again, understand it. So I studied ANTHROP instead.

When I sat on my chair a few minutes later, Gayle and Elinor entered the class. I saw Elinor, and boy was she wasted. She looked like she didn't sleep for the night just to study. When I asked her if she was okay, she told me that she puked. Well, i know it is just over fatigue. We had a quiz on INSTUDI, and I regretted that I did not study or even reviewed seriously enough. The test was really easy, but I think I failed the test.
We ate at the SPS canteen today, and well, the food was okay, but the place was not. It was really hot. I was really amused when the I was about to order, the lady said, “Beautiful, ano sayo?” Haha, yeah call me mababaw, pero it is rare na that someone compliments me. Pero teka, compliment nga ba yun? Baka naman yun talaga ang bati niya sa mga bumibili?
At about 12 noon, we headed to Joseph to wait for our next class. Buti nalang maaga na-dismiss yung naunang class. So, we entered the class and we were supposed to review, but what we did was laugh. And oh, laughing is a really good stress reliever.
Just before ALGEB101 class started, I saw Lorenz pass by our room. He had his hair tied up. He looked, umm, silly. Haha! I wasn’t able to go out and greet him because our professor was checking the attendance. So, I texted him, I told him, “Uy, nice hair! Haha!” We also received our first quiz in ALGEB, and I was surprised that I got 75% out of 100%! I really thought that I would fail the test because I really suck at Math.
We also had our first quiz in ANTHROP today. I of course, chose the objectives since I really focused on that. I did not remember the names well, so I know I only got a few points on the first part of the test. I was quite happy that I answered most of the questions in identification. I finished early so I left school at once to do my POLIGOV commentary paper. Up to now, I’m still not finished reading it, but I started a few sentences already. Well, good luck to me!
