June 15, 2005 I really really really hate Wednesdays. I even loathe it! Why? Of course, it was because of P.E. We were assigned to lead the jogging and dance aerobics, so far it went fine. 11 minutes lang kami kaya hindi kami naka-4.
So she taught tango. The first 5 variations were easy. But the last five were not. She told us to memorize the steps, but of course, how would you be able to memorize if you don’t know how to actually do it? How can you even learn a dance by reading it?! The folder she gave us, which is 20 pesos by the way, was useless. It didn't have drawings on how to do it. Nakalagay lang dun, DIP, Ladies: blah blah. Gentlemen: Left Right Left right. Blah blah. Nagkataon, nasa harap pa ako, eh di syempre kitang kita ako. I was scolded. Not everybody is a dancer. Not everybody can pick up steps in a snap. Can’t she even understand that?!
After P.E., we again, ate at La Casita. Kasi, mas malapit siya. After that, we decided to go back to school, and go to our classroom since it is U-break. After a few minutes, I received a text from Maye that she is going to McDo. So I hurriedly went there to get my flip flops. I was really happy with the flip flops kasi even if it is only 140 pesos, masarap siya sa paa.
We also had our quiz in POLIGOV, which I am sure that I failed. It was an essay test. Open notes. Buti nalang natanong ko kay Mama yung tungkul kay Sammy Ong kahapon. So, there. Boring.
June 16, 2005 I was late today for INSTUDI because I thought today was Friday. Buti nalang naka-recite ako kahit papano. After INSTUDI, we ate lunch na. Actually, I didn’t eat kasi I was full pa from eating breakfast. Then we headed to our classroom in Joseph, but there was still a class. A few minutes before the bell rang, I saw Lorenz. I really missed him! He told me that I was always MIA—missing in action. Then our ALGEB101 professor came and told AJ to write something on the board. We had a seatwork, but our professor didn’t go to our class. So what we did was copy. Well, I didn't copy all. We only watched a film in ANTHROP, I didn't quite understand it because I was in front, and the narrator has an accent. We also received our test, and I failed. I studied it for the whole weekend, yet I failed. Nakakawalang gana tuloy mag-aral.
We also did our smile therapy today. We did it in Robinson's Place. The "smilers" were Hansil and Dianne. It was supposed to be Kyleen, but she did not want to smile. We walked around the mall, round and round. Haha! After that, we met up in McDo, had ice cream and discussed the results. There were only 9 who smiled back to Hansil, and the rest were no reaction. Some guys even looked at her from head to toe. I guess they're intimidated by her height! Haha!! We all went home late. We got to school at about 7 P.M., I think. Janie was left behind in the mall because her mom would just fetch her there.
When I was in the train, just a little before Carriedo station, the train or should I say the driver of the train, hit the brakes without notice. He said it was just a technical problem. A lot of people were shouting. Sumubsob na sila, yung iba napahiga pa. But after that, almost everyone surrounding me we re laughing about it because they didn't expect that to happen. Buti nalang masikip yung LRT kung hindi, subsob lahat dun sa harapan. I heard one said that, "Naku, panu kung may buntis dito?" Which is true, what if there’s a pregnant woman in the train, she might lose her baby because of that incident.
June 17, 2005 Today is a Friday! Yahoo! Our speaker for today was our college’s vice dean, Dr. Teresita Fortunato. She was nice, funny, not the typical stern-looking dean. We didn't finish though, because we only had an hour. After that, we had our block picture taken at the Marian quadrangle. Hansil didn’t get to be in the picture because she was late.
Nothing much happened today. We got our test paper in CRITHIN, and I passed! This is the 2nd quiz that I passed. (Because I failed the others.) I think I'm going to be sick because my throat is very itchy and I can’t help but cough. I don't like having colds and cough, I can bear with the fever, but not the two.
June 18, 2005 It's official. I'm sick. I have cough, and colds, and my fever keeps coming back. I was supposed to go to school today because there is a seminar, or whatever it is called, and if we attended, we would get bonus points for CRITHIN. But I didn't go because I can barely move, I feel like I’ve done something so tiring.
So what I did was study. Umm, well I did not really study. I just read the article we need to read for ANTHROP. Too bad I still don't have Kaloob and the book we need for POLIGOV, so I can't study.
June 19, 2005 I woke up at about 3 A.M. and I was really chilling, I had a hard time getting up from bed. I had a high fever, but of course I didn't bother waking anybody. Instead, I went to my room and got hold of my old P.E. jogging pants way back in high school because it is warm, then I put on the orange long sleeves that I got from my Geometry teacher in second year. (It was actually a dare to ask for his shirt, and I won! Haha!)
I also did not go with my mom even they were going out to eat. I just rested myself this weekend. Anyways, today is father's day. At about 12 A.M., I texted both my biological dad and my stepfather saying "Happy father’s day! Thanks for everything! Ü" And when I woke up, I only got a reply from my stepfather saying "thanks, you're always welcome."
June 20, 2005 Monday is so boring. I have to sit and pretend to listen to RELSONE, which I really believe is not necessary to be part of the curriculum. Not all students who study in La Salle are Christians/Catholics, and not all come from a sectarian school. Out professor told us to do an exegesis paper and it is due in one month. Blah blah, I didn’t listen to him.
Next came POLIGOV, AJ reported about martial law, and he, I mean she was really funny. Everyone was calling her ma'am, or even Andrea Joy. Our papers were not yet returned, but I’m not excited to see it because I know I failed.
Then CRITHIN was the last subject. We of course discussed about logic and stuff. Then our professor told us pregnancy stories. It was really funny, and unbelievable that a wife gave birth to twins, and then the husband found out that one of the twins is his child, and the other is not. Another story was when a woman gave birth to a normal baby, after 3 to 4 months, she again, gave birth to another baby. They are not twins. Unbelievable huh?
Just a few minutes before CRITHIN ends, my mom called me up and asked me if I had assignments for Tuesday, and I said that we have none. So she told me to go with them to Glorietta for dinner. I waited for them for about an hour because of the traffic.
Just before dessert, my grandmother asked me to accompany her to the comfort rooms. When we got back, I went around to my seat. I was supposed to sit when I felt my nose bleeding a little. I grabbed some tissue and hurried to the wash room. I don't know for how long I was there because of my nose. The blood was flowing non-stop. I really thanked Lisa, the maintenance personnel, because she helped me and did not stop asking if I was already okay. She even gave me some ice and towel.
June 21, 2005 I saw a lot of celebrities in school today. I saw Kitchie Nadal, the Coke girls—Chal Lontoc and Cathy Bordalba, Carla from the Palmolive commercial, and of course, Iya Villania.
The pep squad is initiating the aspiring members. Pinapahirapan nila yung mga gustong sumali, pero hindi naman sila nananalo. I know they are doing that to squeeze out the shyness among the new members, but they shouldn’t actually do it like that.
June 22, 2005 I'm quite happy today. I actually got a 4 on Tango. I know I deserved it because I really worked hard for it. Yesterday, before I slept, I memorized and practiced it all by myself. Then, when I go to school, I practiced with Ruth for a while, and waited for Janie to come. Then we practiced. I knew I had errors, but I think our professor ignored them because she saw our effort.
Then comes U-Break. All we did was laugh! I was really happy because of laughing. AJ was telling us lots of funny stories. We just can't stop laughing. But of course, all good things must come to an end. I was caught by a D.O. because I was wearing flip flops. I really hate that rule. In U.P. and Ateneo, wearing flip flops is allowed. Parang, ano ba ang pakialam nila kung naka flip flops yung istudyante? Desente naman ang suot na tsinelas at hindi mukhang pangkubeta.
June 23, 2005 Went to the D.O.'s office today. Well, I had no offense because of freshman amnesty. After that, I went to the 3rd floor to wait for our next class. I was really sleepy during ALGEB101. I decided to go home immediately after the next class.
